Job Description

Applicants for this job opportunity will be responsible for day-to-day interaction with and administration for investment fund clients. This job involves performing complete and accurate back-office operational tasks for client funds in support of fund management, investors and financial advisors.

Job Role and Responsibilities

  • The Account Manager (AM) will be the main contact, liaison and operational decision-maker for multiple non-traded alternative investment fund clients.
  • AM is responsible for clients’ shareholder investment administration needs and will monitor and prioritize client workload and review large financial disbursements, client correspondence and billing.
  • The AM ensures all projects and processes are being handled properly for their clients and will write work orders for additional services.
  • The AM will be responsible for all of the back-office operational needs of clients and will troubleshoot and escalate problems as needed.
  • The AM assists with establishing procedures and ensures process documentation is kept up-to-date.
  • Account Managers work directly with upper-level management in support of business development and client retention efforts.
  • They also work with programmers to develop system enhancements to keep up with client needs.

Job Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Strong client service skills meeting the needs of internal/external clients
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate across multiple departments and technical teams
  • Knowledge of investment fund life cycles and fund administration services including subscription agreements, commissions, distributions, title transfers, redemptions and bank reconciliations in accordance with SEC regulations
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and quickly adapt to change
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook and understanding of technical information
  • Knowledge of financial services

Job Requirements

  • BS degree or 2 years related job experience preferred
  • 2+ years of client management job experience
  • 1-2 years of fund administration experience a plus
  • Job experience working in a broker-dealer environment preferred
