The ADISA conference series is one of many ways we keep our finger on the pulse of the direct investment ecosystem and focus on the innovations in fund accounting, fund administration and transfer agent services that help to drive client success. At the ADISA Spring Conference, to be held May 10-12 in Scottsdale, AZ, Phoenix American’s Chief Risk and Compliance Officer, Ned Montenecourt, will participate in two of the conference’s panel discussions.
Straight-Through Processing for New Investments
On Monday, May 10, Mr. Montenecourt will participate in the panel: Account On-Boarding: Digital Solutions Faster, Cleaner and No Paper. This session will update the attendees on the progress toward an all-digital straight-through processing experience for alternative investments. After more than five years of industry discussion on how to implement a fast, accurate and paperless subscription process for alternatives, platforms are now in place supporting all-digital new investment processing. Mr. Montenecourt will discuss Phoenix American’s experience at the leading edge of this trend and provide perspective on its impacts on the industry.
Permanent Operational Impacts of Pandemic
On May 11, Mr. Montenecourt will participate in the panel: Pandemic Workaround to Mainstream. During the past year, the challenges of remote work, lock downs and the broad disruption to the business world forced companies to adapt in order to continue functioning. Several new practices put in place in the alternatives space have become the new norm and moved the industry forward. Mr. Montenecourt will share some of the challenges, solutions and opportunities experienced by Phoenix American and their client sponsors during the pandemic, how they responded and what is in store for the working model of the future.

Mr. Montenecourt, CRCP is Senior Vice President and Chief Risk and Compliance Officer at Phoenix American. He is responsible for managing all aspects of the firm’s risk and compliance framework as well as helping to hone the firm’s business strategy. He has vast experience designing, building, and implementing risk control programs at financial services entities ranging from startups to large public institutions. His expertise centers on systems integration, supervisory controls, process automation, regulatory training, regulatory and audit exam management, and operational risk. Previously, Mr. Montenecourt was the Chief Compliance Officer for BlackRock’s Distribution and Execution entities. Mr. Montenecourt has B.S. and B.A. degrees in finance and architecture from Lehigh University and is a graduate of the CRCP Executive Education Program in conjunction with FINRA from the University of Pennsylvania—The Wharton School Executive Program.
