The Manager Survey

CONNECT WITH US

Phoenix American, on an ongoing basis, conducts a survey of alternative investment fund managers as a means of constructing a useful picture of the private fund industry as a whole. The goal is to characterize the overall landscape of the industry and to foster a conversation – among its participants and with the larger investment community. We hope to shed light on what can seem to be an obscure and complex corner of the investment fund community.

The greater the participation in the Manager Survey, the clearer view we can create of the priorities and concerns of fund managers across the alternative investment fund space. The perspectives of all classes of private fund are sought:

  • Private Equity
  • Venture Capital
  • Real Estate
  • Debt
  • Leasing
  • Oil & Gas
  • Crowdfunding

Survey questions seek insight from participants in four categories.

  • Metrics – how funds are structured, fundraise, deploy capital.
  • Perspectives – how events and trends are effecting investment funds across the alternatives space.
  • Opinions – the thoughts and concerns of fund managers.
  • Predictions – what fund managers are expecting from the future.

The results of individual survey questions will be published periodically on the Phoenix American website. The Manager Survey, a compilation and analysis of survey results over time, will be published quarterly.
